Detailed itinerary for the 3 days Masai mara safari

Day 1: Transfer from Nairobi to Masai mara

On the first day of the safari you met your safari drive and be picked up from your hotel after morning breakfast, you will briefed about the safari and start your journey to masai mara national park west of Nairobi city. From Nairobi city to Masai mara national park it is a drive of 6-7 hours covering a distance of 309 kilometers, on your way you will make a stopover Narok town for a little break. Narok town is a biggest Masai town where you encounter typical local Masai people clad in their traditional attires, after a few minutes stopover you will proceed to the park. You will reach Masai Mara national Park in the afternoon, in the park you will check in at your lodge, have lunch and rest for a while as you prepare for an evening game drive in the park. On the evening game drive you will view many animals such as herds of elephants, giraffe, lions, leopards, cheetah and many more. After the game drive you will drive back to your lodge, freshen up have dinner and sleep over night.

Day 2: full day Masai mara

On this second day of the safari you will have a morning game drive which will require you to wake up so early for morning breakfast then drive to the park to start on your game drive, this game drive is the highlight of the 3 days safari as it is a perfect time for viewing most of the wildlife in the park as they are still in one place before dispersing because of the sunlight. On your drive you will view many animals like lions, leopards, elephants, wildebeest and many more, after the game drive you will have lunch as you rest while preparing for an afternoon cultural tour. On the cultural tour in the Masai village you will encounter a series of traditional practices, culture and norms such as the beautiful Masai local manyattas, Masai local songs and dances and cultural wear including beautiful beads and square fabrics. After an amazing cultural tour you will drive back to your lodge, have dinner and rest for overnight.

Day 3: drive back to Nairobi and end of the safari

On this last day of the safari you will wake up for a morning cup of coffee, then check out of your lodge and drive back to Nairobi, when you reach Nairobi you will have lunch then have your drop off either at your hotel or airport thus marking the end of your safari.
